Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

I’ve been coming to David for years now with my 2013 Chevy Cruze. It’s paid off with over 160,000 miles and no matter what I’ve asked him to take care of he has ALWAYS proven to be the best priced and with the best customer service. He has a small little personal shop so there are limitations to what he can do but as a female who knows it’s easy to be taken advantage of in the car world I’m thankful to know that he will always be fair and honest when working on my little beater while I drive it until the wheels fall off!

I had a great experience with DMK! They were professional, knowledgeable, and honest throughout the entire process. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made sure I understood what repairs were needed without ever making me feel pressured. It’s hard to find a mechanic you can truly trust, and DMK definitely earned my confidence. They were thorough, efficient, and genuinely cared about making sure my vehicle was repaired correctly. I really appreciated their excellent communication and attention to detail. If you’re looking for a reliable mechanic who values honesty and quality work, I highly recommend DMK. I’ll definitely be returning for any future automotive needs!

David provided exceptional service from beginning to end. unlike other mechanics dealership he didn't charge $250 diagnostic fee. he explained everything clearly, he told me what issues were a priority and which could wait. he sent videos of everything he was doing, step by step. he saw that one of my lights were out and fixed it for free. he finished when he said he was going to finish. his prices are very fair, he will even let you buy your own parts if you can get it somewhere else for cheaper. He really goes the extra mile and I highly recommend David and DMK auto especially for woman, because he doesn't take advantage of your lack of knowledge or try and sell you things you don't need. Very happy With the Work and service and I will be a return customer

David is amazing and he’s so fair. With my first car while I was a student, he helped me out with payments and getting me by until I was able to pay for the service. Very honest and will do whatever it takes to help you save money and quick with his work. 10/10 recommend
